The NT is rather spoilt on the National Park front. Because of it’s split climate of hot dry desert in the South, and monsoonal tropical north, there is a distinct variety to the parks here. The crown jewel of them is Kakadu National Park in the North of the state. Kakaud is a tropical wetlands paradise, home to millions of birds, crocs, and other fabulous wildlife. The Northern Territory is also home to Uluru-kata Tjuta National Park, the base of Uluru (Ayres Rock) one of the worlds most recognisable landmarks.
