Found in both mountain and lowland rainforest in a small area of far north Queensland. This supremely agile tree kangaroo is capable of leaping great distances both up and down in search of the best leaves to be had in the forest.
They have short forelimbs and a long tail adapted for superb balance amongst rocks and trees.
Distribution & Habitat:
Small area of Queensland north to the Daintree region and south around Cooktown.
Diet:
Various leaves of rainforest trees, fruits and ferns.
