Pythons are non-venemous constrictors known for ingesting prey larger thanthemselves by unhinging their jaw. The Diamond Python is distinct because of its interesting cream-clored markings in a triangular shape on their contrasting black scales. Often found in the roofs of Australian homes, feeding on household rodents and pests.
Distribution & Habitat:
Restricted to coastal areas of New South Wales. Found in well vegatated areas, and often in the roofs of suburban residences where they prey on household pets until the supply has been exhausted.
Diet:
Juvenile diet consists of lizards, almost exclusively. Adults eat small purposeverbetrtes, such as birds and rodents.
Breeding:
Females lay eggs and then coils themselves around the eggs for both protection and incubation . A clutch consits o 10 to 20 eggs.
