Eastern Brown Snake ( Pseudonaja textilis )

The Eastern Brown Snake is a native Asutralian snake and is one of teh world's deadliest snakes. They are all brown, but color varies from snake to snake and they have a multitude of patterns and markings. Juveniles have a black head,and red-brown spots on their belly.

Distribution & Habitat:

Found along Astralia's east coast in a variety of habitats. However, the Eastern Borwn Snake is not foudn in wetlands.

Diet:

Diet consists of frogs, snakes, birds, lizards, and rodents.

Breeding:

Mating occurs in springtime. Females produce a clutch of 10-40 eggs in late spring/early summer. The eggs are not guarded by the mother and juveniles are totallyh independent.

Life Span:

average 20 years in the wild
