The Green Tree Python is shaped like most other python varieties. Its body is thick and it has a distinctive triangular-shaped head. Young snakes are bright yellow; Adult snakes are light, iridescent green. The Green Tree Python is a nocturnal, tree dweller. Although this species is not venomous, it has aggressive tendencies and can inflict a painful bite wound.
Distribution & Habitat:
Found in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. Mainly live in rainforest areas, bushes and/or shrubs.

Small mammals, birds, reptiles.
Breeding:
The green tree python is an egglayer and produces anywhere from 1 to 25 eggs per clutch.
