King Brown or Mulga Snake ( Pseudechis australis )

The King Brown or Mulga Snake is one of the largest venomous snakes in the world. It is a brown snake but color ranges from dirt-colored light brown to almost black. The Kin Brown snake is extremely dangerous, second only to the Taipan, in terms of Australia's venomous snakes.

Distribution & Habitat:

Found throuhout Australia, with the exception of eastern and southern coastal areas. They thrive in a large rane of habitats including deserts and woodlands.

Diet:

Typical diet of rodents, lizards, birds, small mammals.

Breeding:

Female lays between 8 and 20 es per clutch in a burrow or other secluded area. Es are incubated for 2-3 months and juveniles are not cared for by the mother snake.
