Stimsons Pythons are non-venomous constrictors found in central and western Australia. They are also referred to as Large-blotched Pythons because they have a blotchy pattern along their body. This is a comparatively small python. They have variable colring and patterning. However, Stimsons Python has a distinctive stripe of their base color which runs along both sides of its neck.
Distribution & Habitat:
Found throughout central and Western Australia. Stimsons Pythons
prefer arid areas and are found in deserts and rocky outcrops. They are highly adaptive and thrive in a variety of environments.
Diet:
birds, frogs, lizards, and small mammals.
Breeding:
Females lay 5-19 eggs per clutch. Juveniles are completely independent once-hatched.
